A district strategic planning session

Partnership, not presentation.

Every district engagement begins around a table, not a podium. Perry works alongside school boards, administrators, principals, and community members to translate the eight dimensions into concrete strategy for this district.

Strategic planning is a conversation before it is a document.

Our Focus

Soldwedel Consulting, LLC partners with school districts to strengthen performance through disciplined strategic management. Our work centers on six core outcomes — each one defined in measurable terms so every engagement has a clear finish line.

Improved Student Success

Every student demonstrates measurable growth and is prepared for the next stage of learning, college, career, or life. Instruction is data-informed, responsive, and aligned to high expectations.

Efficient Resource Use

Time, funding, and personnel are strategically aligned to the highest-impact priorities. Decisions are transparent, data-driven, and focused on maximizing student outcomes.

Clear, Aligned Action Plans

Goals are clearly defined, measurable, and connected to a shared vision. Action plans include specific steps, ownership, and timelines, with regular monitoring and adjustment.

Strong Leadership at Every Level

Collaborative leadership teams operate across the system with shared priorities, clear communication, and a focus on accountability and continuous improvement.

Measurable Results with Defined Targets

Success is driven by clear performance indicators aligned to strategic goals. Progress is monitored consistently and communicated transparently.

Continuous Improvement

A culture of reflection, learning, and adaptation is embedded across the organization, ensuring sustained progress over time.

The attention to detail, focus on continuous improvement, and systemic approach makes the planning fun for all stakeholders and is a true catalyst for growth. The true work occurs after the plan with the coaching of how to “live the plan” to ensure fidelity in implementation.

We cast a wide net and found Perry Soldwedel. We had a 90-person planning team — Perry masterfully led that large team to consensus on mission, vision, goal areas, and portraits. There is almost nothing Perry hasn’t seen or experienced, and his style of coaching is deeply appreciated.
